"Girls Boat Project" NW Maritime Center
Sistership partnered with the Northwest Maritime Center and raised over $10,000 for scholarships for the “Girls Boat Project” during the team’s 2016 and 2017 Race To Alaska adventures. Girls, age 12-18, gain skills and have fun in the maritime trades, both on and off the water. Through woodworking, boatbuilding techniques, longboat training
World Bicycle Relief (WBR)
“World Bicycle Relief (WBR) builds and distributes specially-designed, locally assembled, rugged bicycles. With the experience and expertise gained over the last 10 years designing and delivering more than 400,000 Buffalo Bicycles, WBR has developed an efficient, innovative and scalable model to successfully address the great need for reliable, affordable transportation in rural areas of developing countries.” (WBR Website)
Lupe Anguiano Leadership Scholarship Fund
Lupe Anguiano is an American activist for equal rights, women rights, welfare reform
